VOLUNTEERING OPPORTUNITIES
Main purpose of job:
To support the Bureau with managing different social media channels, to maximize engagement, promote volunteering and raise awareness of Citizens Advice campaigns.
Volunteers do not need specific qualifications or experience to train for the Social Media Volunteer role but they will need:
To be willing to work within the bureau or remotely for 1-2 hours a week and attend quarterly volunteer meetings.
Be willing to work as a team member.
Confident using computers and willing to learn the Bureau systems.
To be able to communicate proficiently in English.
Able to be open minded and non-judgmental.
Able to maintain client confidentiality.
Able to work within an Equal Opportunities organization.
Key Tasks:
This list is not exhaustive and tasks will vary from department to department.
Administration – follow procedures relating to office organisation.
Input data and information into computer systems.
Establishing and/or maintaining active social media accounts.
Researching and creating creative content for different social media channels
Identifying opportunities to establish relationships with local community groups.
Thinking of innovative ways to drive online engagement.
Creating/ updating timetable of upcoming events and awareness days (Christmas, Red Nose day, etc.)
