Aberdeen Citizens Advice Bureau has been providing advice and information to the people of Aberdeen for over 80 years.

Aberdeen Citizens Advice Bureau gives all clients free, confidential, impartial and independent advice on a wide range of subjects, including:

  • Benefits: questions about entitlements, support  with applications and appeals against unfair decisions

  • Debt advice: how to manage your debts, improve your financial situation and maximize your income (the debt service is funded for people living in Aberdeen City only)

  • Employment: questions about terms and conditions, dismissal, redundancy, intimidation and unfair dismissal

  • Immigration: from EU workers to asylum seekers

  • Consumer Issues: everything from broken kettles to difficulties with gas and electricity suppliers

  • Relationships: issues relating to splitting up, children, and bereavement

  • Housing: your rights

Clients facing homelessness and eviction should contact Shelter.

The Money Talk Team can help maximise your income. Everyone’s situation is unique but experience shows us there are some universal ways to improve people’s finances to help with the increased cost of living.

We are currently providing advice by telephone and email, with Face to Face interviews only arranged where no other means of communication is possible.

You can contact the Bureau as follows:

You can phone us on 01224 569750 between 10am and 3pm, Monday to Friday

You can email us on Bureau@aberdeencab.casonline.org.uk

You can attend the Bureau at 41 Union Street, Aberdeen, AB11 5BN between 10am and 3pm, Monday to Friday.

However you contact us, your details will be taken and you will be added to our waiting list to be called by an Adviser at a later date.

In the last few months we have been overwhelmed by the number of clients seeking advice. Current waiting time to be contacted is between 3 and 4 weeks.
